UXO Metal Detectors for Munitions Response

Tarsacci designs and manufactures professional handheld metal-detection equipment for use in support of UXO and Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) investigation. Every Tarsacci UXO metal detector uses patented Mixed Domain Technology that holds the machine stable in challenging environments such as: highly mineralized, alkaline and salt-affected ground, trashy sites.

MDT 8000UXO

Engineered for Extreme Ground Conditions.

Munitions response, range clearance and EOD support

Tarsacci equipment is built for teams working ground where munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) may be present:
- Munitions response and MEC investigation on formerly used defense sites
- Active and legacy range clearance
- EOD support and search operations
- Humanitarian demining and battle-area clearance
- Anomaly investigation ahead of construction, utility work and site development
- Geophysical survey where a handheld instrument is needed to reacquire and pinpoint flagged anomalies
Tarsacci detectors are already in service with UXO customers in the field.

Important Professional-Use and Detection Notice

The MDT 8000UXO is a metal-detection instrument intended for use by appropriately trained and qualified personnel in support of UXO/MEC detection and investigation activities.

The detector responds to metallic objects. It does not identify, classify, render safe, or determine the hazard status of any object, and Target ID information must not be interpreted as confirmation that an object is or is not UXO/MEC.

Detection performance varies with target size, composition, orientation, and depth; soil and environmental conditions; electromagnetic interference; detector settings; search technique; and operator experience.

No metal detector can guarantee detection of every metallic object or UXO/MEC item, and use of the MDT 8000UXO cannot establish that an area is free of UXO/MEC or other hazards.

Users are responsible for following applicable laws, regulations, contractual requirements, site safety procedures, quality-control procedures, and appropriate UXO/EOD practices. This detector is not a substitute for professional UXO/EOD training, judgment, or other required verification methods.

Owners, employers, and anyone who provides the MDT 8000UXO to others, including by rental, loan, resale, or assignment to employees or subcontractors, are responsible for ensuring that every operator has the training, qualifications, supervision, and authorization appropriate for the work being performed, and for providing this notice and the user manual with each detector.
